HELP WITH TRANSITIONS

From our newsletter:

Back to school transitions are hard. Whether its yours first "back to school" in preschool or kindergarten, or it’s your 7th or 8th and you're a bit burned out of back to school-we see you! We've collected our best articles and resources to support you during this time. My key take away this year? Go gentle on yourself!! Will things be perfect the first week? Probably not! Let me rephrase that...definitely not! Mornings may be harder than you remember and afternoons will certainly be full of some tired and meltdowny kiddos! Try to build in white (or unplanned) space into your afternoons and weekends. Try to focus less on everything set up perfectly, and take a learn as you go approach. Make small modifications each day or week that might make this go a little more smoothly.  And whether it is because you suddenly have more childcare or just less driving across town for summer camp-try to use some of this newfound time to relax. a little. Make yourself a cup of tea, take yourself out to coffee. Remember that your mental health sets the tone for your family's mental health. So have compassion on yourself during this time-the transition is not just hard on the kids!  Please see our articles below and  to go deeper, our new and improved On Demand Parenting Workshops, or our in person classes!
